ChartAlert is real-time-enabled . . . that is, it can chart and scan real-time data streaming in MetaStock® format MetaRefresher® mode from 3rd party real-time data vendors
ChartAlert does not offer its own captive or native real-time data feed.
However, it has the capability to read third-party real-time data, subject to certain limitations.
With ChartAlert, you can read and visualize flicker-free tick-by-tick real-time data streamed from third-party data vendors in MetaStock® format using the MetaRefresher® mode.
The Advanced Scanner allows manual real-time scanning of third-party real-time data streamed in MetaStock® format using the MetaRefresher® mode.
Please note that the current version of ChartAlert does not support setting alerts or auto-scanning through the Basic Scanner or Advanced Scanner.
Furthermore, the third-party real-time data streaming in MetaStock® format MetaRefresher® mode cannot be scanned for Chart Patterns, or Harmonics, or Point-and-Figure Patterns, or Renko Patterns.
Lastly, ChartAlert does not have the capability to read real-time data in eSignal® format or AmiBroker® format.
