The development of 21.4.1 version was delayed due to the Coronavirus-related disruptions since Mar-2020, and we were yet to return to complete normalcy as of Apr-2021 . . . But we have promises to keep, and miles to go before we sleep.

These are the features, enhancements and bugfixes included in ChartAlert version 21.4.1, which was released in April 2021.

FEATURES

21.4.1 — Pattern Detection / Renko Patterns

  1. Introducing 18 Renko Patterns: RENKONEWWHITE, RENKONEWBLACK, RENKODOUBLETOP, RENKODOUBLEBOT, RENKODOUBLETOPALERT, RENKODOUBLEBOTALERT, RENKOTRIPLETOP, RENKOTRIPLETOPALERT, RENKOTRIPLEBOT, RENKOTRIPLEBOTALERT, RENKOTRIANGLEASC, RENKOTRIANGLEDSC, RENKOHEADSHOULDER, RENKOHEADSHOULDERINVERSE, RENKOSUPPORT, RENKORESISTANCE
  2. Scanner:  18 Renko Patterns added as Factory Scans to both the Basic Scanner and the Advanced Scanner/CASL

21.4.1 – Noiseless Charts

All noiseless chart types — Renko, Point & Figure, Kagi and Three Line Break — have been built from ground up to facilitate scanning and backtesting.

21.4.1 – Trading System / Backtester

Trading System Builder and Backtester enabled for Renko, Point & Figure, Kagi and Three Line Break chart types (BETA).

21.4.1 – Advanced Scanner/CASL

  1. Relative Strength Matrix:
    • Execute RS Matrices through a Screener and assemble the filtered results in a WatchList — see slideshow here
    • The following aggregate P&F functions have been added — PFTOTALBUYS, PFTOTALSELLS, PFTOTALX, PFTOTALO, PFTOTALBX, PFTOTALBO, PFTOTALSX, PFTOTALSO
  2. Relative Strength:
    • Scan for P&F Relative Strength Buy/Sell Signals via Advanced Scanner and assemble the filtered results in a WatchList — see slideshow here
    • Functions SYMBOL1, SYMBOL2 added to display Numerator and Denominator respectively
  3. Point & Figure:  Above Bullish Support Line (PFABOVEBSL) and Below Bearish Resistance Line (PFBELOWBRL) functions added
  4. New Functions added to Rank output data (RANK) and to display a Symbol Count (SYMBOLCOUNT)
  5. “List Data” scans now available for all noiseless chart types

21.4.1 – Relative Strength Matrix

  1. Five (5) new columns added to the RS Matrix report:
    • “TOTAL” (of BUYS and X)
    • “Change in BUYS”
    • “Change in X”
    • “Change in TOTAL”
    • “Above BSL” (P&F 45-degree Bullish Support Line)
  2. Relative Strength Matrix / Trend Matrix:  Option to run multiple Matrices at a time

21.4.1 – Charting

  1. Chart Legend:  Option to turn on/off the Chart Legend by clicking on the “Edit” icon in the charts
  2. Relative Performance Charts:  Crosshairs enabled for Relative Performance charts
  3. Relative Strength Charts:  Option to open multiple charts simultaneously

21.4.1 – ETFs

Added to Chart Search (including QuickList) as a separate group.

21.4.1 – Advanced Filter

  1. Parameters for Advanced Filtering increased from 3 to 6, and the filter options are auto-saved and retrieved for all applicable/same-type reports (except MyRoutine) — see slideshow here
  2. Relative Strength Matrix / Trend Matrix:  Advanced filtering option added to Relative Strength Matrix and Trend Matrix

21.4.1 – MyFav/Watchlists

  1. Add Symbols:  Option to add symbols to one or multiple lists from grid reports
  2. Remove Symbols:  Option to remove selected symbols directly from grid reports/charts

21.4.1 – Global Preferences

  1. Chart Legend:  Option to turn on/off the Chart Legend via Global Preferences
  2. Auto-size Columns:  Option to auto-size columns on opening/loading any report

ENHANCEMENTS

21.4.1 – Drawing

  1. Semi-log and Linear Channels:  Floating middle line added with snap to price option — see slideshow here
  2. Price Counter / Price-Bar Counter:  Up/Dn CAGR% information added to the display
  3. Fibonacci Retracement / FiboExtension / FiboTimeExtn:
    • 0% or 100% line (and other lines) can now be deleted
    • Display of % and/or Value labels can also be controlled independently
  4. Gann Fan:  “Negative Rise” option added

21.4.1 – Indicators

PriceField added as a parameter to the Trend Score indicator.

21.4.1 – Charting / Point & Figure

Auto 45-degree (BSL) (Bullish Support Line) and 315-degree (BRL) (Bearish Resistance Line) trendlines get “readjusted” based on the ongoing trend.

21.4.1 – Advanced Scanner/CASL

  1. TrendScore can also be computed on Volume or any other DataField
  2. Scanner / Chart Patterns / Harmonic Patterns:  “Force Rescan” option added

21.4.1 – Trading System Backtester

When opening a chart from a Backtester report, only trades as defined by the Backtester settings will be displayed on the chart.

21.4.1 – Advanced Filter

Parameters for Advanced Filtering increased from 3 to 6.

21.4.1 – Crosshair

Crosshair remains on even while switching between charts and/or while scrolling a chart.

21.4.1 – Global Preferences / Training Mode

The number of bars to be hidden in the Training Mode is now calculated from the end of the chart (that is, counted from right to left) and not from the beginning of the chart.

21.4.1 – Data Window

Added Kagi Top, Bottom and Mid.

21.4.1 – Status Bar

Added Chg% to Status Bar.

21.4.1 – Bugfixes

Bugs detected (and reported) in the previous versions have been fixed in this Upgrade Version
